Plustek has announced the launch of the TVcam VD100, a TV tuner that enables users to watch TV on their notebooks that can also be used as a webcam complete with built-in microphone.The TVcam VD100 has in-built DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial) technology and is designed to receive global DVB-T signals anytime and anywhere in the world.
Weighing 86g, and measuring 67.5 x 26 x 25.5mm, the TVcam VD100 clips to the top of the notebook screen and is being aimed towards travelers and commuters.
Users can record programmes and watch them later or can pause prgramming as it's being viewed. The provided EPG give programme info.
The product can double as a webcam with a 640 x 480 (VGA) resolution and can snap still images too.
