T-Mobile organises secret Street Gigs for the summer

T-Mobile gets into flash mobing

Ever keen to promote itself as a hip happening brand, T-mobile has announced that it will be running a series of street gigs across the summer in London.

Customers to T-Mobile will be sent text and picture message invitations 90 minutes before the acts starts to play with details of the secret gig location. Wannabee gig goers can also sign-up online to register their interest at www.t-mobile.co.uk/street

The concept follows flash mobing which last year saw instant parties at Waterloo Station and a pillow fight outside St Paul's Cathedral.

The performances aren't concerts or PA's but totally live sets from fresh new talent including Mercury music prize nominated The Magic Numbers plus Lemar, The Subways, Estelle and other to be announced, all staged in urban locations in the open to offer fans a totally one-off experience and unique electric atmosphere.

To help those attending capture the moment, gig goers are being encouraged to trial the Sony Ericsson D750i camera phone, an exclusive version of the K750i released by Sony Ericsson for T-Mobile.
