"One-box wonder" surround sound

Marantz's "Cinemarium" that offers a "one-box-for-all" design approach to surround sound is now available in the UK.

Comprising of six speaker drivers – arranged in special tweeter, midrange and woofer configuration – each is individually powered by a hi-fi quality digital class D amplifier, housed in what the company describes as an "incredibly solid extruded aluminium monocoque enclosure".

Marantz says this makes the Cinemarium "the best performing soundbar around, easily outperforming the multiple undersized speakers found elsewhere and delivering bags more bass".

Simple set-up is also promised with a one cable HDMI connection to displays for home cinema purposes, but can also connect to your stereo or MP3 player for music playback.

Available now, the Cinemarium will set sound-loving UK consumers back £900.
