Panasonic has launched a new digital camera complete with Wi-Fi connectivity called the Lumix DMC-TZ50.

The new model will be able to connect to any wireless 802.11b/g network and upload images taken with the camera directly to Google's Picasa Web Albums service.

On the specs front, the camera will sport a 9.1 megapixel sensor, a 28mm wide-angle lens, 10x optical zoom, 3-inch LCD screen and the ability to record HD video.

In the US, where the camera has launched, Panasonic is offering customers a complimentary 12-month pass to 8800 T-Mobile hotspots.

The Panasonic Lumix TZ50 also incorporates Panasonic’s Intelligent Auto (iA) mode that automatically control exposure, red-eye correction, camera shake, ISO settings, Scene modes, face detection and focus control.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ50 will be available in silver in May 2008 for a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $449.95.

We are awaiting conformation of a UK release and price.

We will keep you posted.
