Navman has launched an update to the iCN510 sat nav system that adds the latest TeleAtlas map data and a host of new features.

Called the iCN 520, the new models adds updates to the SmartST 2005 Navigation software by allowing users to enter an address via town, postcode, street, street intersection, house number or points of interest (POI).

Navman is also promising new advanced map imagery that gives you a better impression of your surroundings on screen, including land contours, parks and forests, POI, railways, rivers and lakes, as well as a choice of 3D topographical style, 2D map, 2D mini-maps, or instructions list to allow you to customise your view of the journey.

Navman iCN 520 is available in two versions; iCN 520 includes local country maps for £349 and iCN 520 Premium European Edition has full European maps of 16 countries on CD and a remote control for £449. Both devices are available from leading retailers and e-tailers from end of July 2005.

ICN 520 comes with a windshield mounting bracket and 12v DC power adapter that connects to the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. A carry case, USB cable and mains power adaptor are also included.
