A super zoom and two additions to the "Style" series have been launched by Nikon this morning.First up is the P80 - the main feature of which is a 18x zoom. This means that the camera delivers a 35mm equivalent focal range of 27mm to 486mm.
Also worth a mention are the camera's burst mode, which delivers in 4, 6 and 13fps, ISO up to 6400, and a 2.7-inch, anti-reflective LCD display.
Auto red-eye reduction and face detection (Face Priority AF) are also included.
The Coolpix P80 will be available this month for $399.99 in the States and £299.99 in the UK.
The P80 seems largely modelled to look like a DSLR, while the Coolpix S52 and S52c are most definitely compact, compact cameras.
They share the same specs including 9 megapixel sensors, 3x zoom, and optical image stabilisation.
The only difference is that the S52c offer wireless capabilities so that snappers can upload shots wirelessly to services like Flickr.
Both will be available in May, with the S52 retailing for $250, and the S52c arriving at $280 or £229.99 in the UK. Cameras, Digital cameras, Nikon, 9 megapixels
