"The daddy of all sound systems"

The latest launch from Roberts combines DAB radio, a CD player, and SD memory card functionality.

The Sound 24 is a 2.1 speaker system with two speakers at the front and a subwoofer at the back along with optional ultra bass and a multi-position equaliser.

Featuring a brushed stainless steel front panel with a front opening CD player, the system allows you to tune into radio stations via DAB or FM, listen to CDs or playback MP3 or WMA files from a PC via CD, USB or SD card.

Alternatively, an auxiliary input socket allows music listeners to plug in an iPod or MP3 player and playback tracks via the stereo speakers.

The SOUND 24 is also claimed to be the world's first DAB radio with CD and SD card "Bookmark" facility which automatically remembers the last played position.

Other features include multiple alarm options letting users choose between buzzer, radio, CD or SD card as well as adjustable sleep/snooze timers; a light sensitive display dimmer which adjusts its brightness accordingly and turns off after 10 seconds but lights up again at the touch of a button; six display colours; and 20 presets.

A multi function remote control is included and the SOUND 24 is available now for £200.
