Poised to become the fastest selling Wii game ever, "Wii Fit" by Nintendo has outstripped all previous records on Play.com by selling out its entire allocation in one day.
Launching in the UK on 25 April, Play.com says it has been "overwhelmed" by demand for the new fitness game.
Debuting in Japan 4 months ago, the exergame sold more than one million copies in the first month in a nation with around five million Wiis in use.
Gian Luzio, head of games at Play.com, comments: "It's fantastic to see exergames in big demand. Nintendo 'Wii Fit' is going to be huge - let's hope that we can keep up with demand. We are expecting more stock before launch".
