Potentially a glimpse into the future of online clothes retailing, this clever little site has become a firm favourite of quite a few of the big women's glossy magazines. It's easy to see why.

A lingerie store which incorporates a virtual dressing room, knicerpicker allows you to select a model who best represents the body shape and colouring you're shopping for, then you can choose which undies they model for you.

It's really very clever and probably something that other clothing sites might start to pick up on.

It is one of those indisputable laws of nature that the underwear a woman actually wants will be the diametric opposite of the underwear bought for her by an eager (if clueless) partner.
