Two weeks after teasing an event for its next flagship, LG has officially confirmed it will indeed unveil the LG G5 at Mobile World Congress.
LG recently invited journalists to attend the unveiling of its next flagship smartphone in MWC. It sent out the usual "Save The Date" notice, along with an image of a green music box and a "Play Begins" teaser. LG's event is scheduled for 21 February in Barcelona, and although everyone pretty much assumed the LG G5 would be unveiled, we now know for sure.
LG on 3 February posted images on Twitter that showed people gesturing as if they were holding a smartphone. The images also reference the number "5" several times and are captioned with "#LGG5" as well as the date of the company's upcoming event and "#MWC2016". If that isn't enough proof for you, for whatever reason, LG Korea's latest post should convince you.
Its Social site published the above GIF, which specifically states LG G5 Day is "coming soon" on 21 February, which is the same day as LG's MWC event. Anyway, the LG G5 is rumoured to feature a 5.3-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. As for the "Play Begins" stuff from the event invite, your guess is as good as ours.
