Star Wars and Lego is a mix made in the heavens and it'll be descending to us earthlings in a new form soon. A Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens game has been announced.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced the game which will arrive on 28 June this year.

The playable characters were also listed including Rey, Finn, BB-8, Kylo Ren, Han Solo, "and the rest of your favourite characters from the movie".

Primarily the game will allow players to battle their way through the storyline of the movie, enjoying the added Lego humour along the way. But the game will also feature exclusive content that will bridge the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.

New gaming modes will also be introduced in this title. Multi-Builds allows gamers to open up new paths using available Lego bricks which can be broken down and built up again for other new paths. An layer extra has been added to Blaster Battles, during which players can now hide behind surroundings for cover.

Check out the trailer below. The game will be available on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, PlayStation Vita and Windows PCs.
