It might seem strange talking about toys your kids will likely want come the end of 2016 already, but each January London plays host to the UK's biggest toy trade fair and that means we get to see upcoming goodies almost 11 months in advance.

We spend our time at the show in London visiting stands for all of the major and some minor toy manufacturers to check out what they plan to release through the year, and we've decided to focus predominantly on tech toys for this round up.

You can flick through the gallery above to find out all our picks for the best tech toys that we think your children will want on their wishlists in 2016, whether it be a camera, smartwatch or figure that interacts with a smartphone or tablet app.

There are certainly plenty to choose from as the toy industry warms to the idea that British kids are as tech savvy, if not more so, than their parents.

You can also be safe in the knowledge that all of the toys in the gallery are safe to use. They won't explode or cause havoc, like the Chinese import hoverboards, for example.

So click through the gallery to find out exactly what we feel will be the best tech toys for Christmas 2016.

We will also be updating this feature as we travel around the show, so come back for more later. - learn about it / talk about it / deal with it At parents can find all the advice they will need to keep their children safe online.
