Warner Bros' YouTube channel has posted a new trailer for Suicide Squad, an upcoming film based on the DC Comics supervillain team of the same name. It'll premiere in cinemas this August, but while we patiently wait for the next 8 months to fly by, DC Entertainment has whet our appetite with a fresh look at the film, cunningly edited to Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.

It's an epic 2-minute trailer, to say the least. We see more of the star-studded ensemble cast, which includes Margot Robbie as the insane Harley Quinn, Will Smith as the deadly marksman Deadshot, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as the man-eating Killer Croc, and Jared Leto as the wild card Joker. Overall, the new trailer gives the feeling that this is a deliciously dark and fun film.

Suicide Squad will be the third installment in the DC Extended Universe. It's written and directed by David Ayer and has been in development for at least 7 years. That said, principal photography only began in April of last year in Canada, and ended four months later.

The film is scheduled to release in the US on 5 August in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D.

That trailer, though. Wow.
