Sky adds two more HD channels

Sky Movies Premiere and Sky Sports 3 HD become reality

Sky has added two more HD channels to its offering as we reported it would do at the end of the month.

Movie and sports fans now get Sky Movies Premiere HD and Sky Sports HD 3 added to their HD monthly package, however the proposed FX HD channel has yet to appear in the broadcasters electronic program guide (EPG).

Sky Movies Premiere HD will simulcast the latest releases the broadcaster has to offer at the same time as its Sky Movies Premiere channel.

It has not been all plain sailing however with some customers writing to Pocket-lint believing Sky had dropped the SkyScreen 2 HD channel altogether at first.

The broadcaster has been forced to move its SkyScreen 2 HD movies channel further back in the EPG.

Rather than move Film4's offering, Sky has had to move the HD movie channel from its position at the end of the main batch of Sky movie channels. The new home for the channel is now at the end of the complete movie block in the EPG, and can be found beyond other movie channels such as movies4men and True Movies.

The addition of the two new channels takes the HD line-up to 16 in total.
