Sony is all set to kick-off its CES 2016 press conference where it'll be touting plenty of new kit which the company will be brining out this year, especially in the television department.

Sony will begin its presentation at 5pm PST which is 1am GMT.

Expect Sony to announce new televisions featuring 4K UHD and HDR, most likely sporting the new UHD Premium certification. We also expect to see at least one 4K UHD Blu-ray player from Sony that should help people finally take full advantage of the next-gen TVs.

While Sony might announce other items in mobiles and even gaming, with Mobile World Congress and dedicated gaming conferences a-plenty on their way don't expect much more than home cinema at this event.

The event should run for around an hour. We'll be bringing you all the news live from the event as it happens and will then follow-up with hands-on demos with the kit.

In the meantime you might want to read up on what HD Premium is so you know what's coming to the television market in 2016. Check it all out in the link below.
