At 8am PT (4pm GMT) LG will be kicking off a busy day of major press conferences from almost all the major consumer electronics manufacturers as CES 2016 officially starts. And we have the livestream right here for you to watch.

LG doesn't really leave things as surprises at CES each year, seeding official announcements on products that we can expect to see at the show, but there might still be one or two up its sleeve. We've also yet to see the full range of 4K OLED TVs it is bound to reveal.

The company is likely to also announce which of them will carry the new UHD Premium certification that manufacturers are using with their top-of-the-line tellies. And we suspect that there will be news on streaming partners to help deliver HDR 4K content - such as Amazon Video.

You can also expect to see new products in the smarthome and mobile phone categories, although with Mobile World Congress not too far away, we very much doubt the latter will contain any devices in the higher end.

So sit back and watch the action unfurl. It is scheduled to run for 45 minutes to an hour, and you'll also be able to read about LG's exciting 2016 gadgets here on Pocket-lint soon.
