Rock Band coming to the Wii

The makers of Rock Band have announced that it will be coming to a Nintendo Wii near you in the Summer.

Rock Band for Wii will be released as a Special Edition bundle including the software, drums, microphone and a wireless guitar and feature 63 songs including five bonus songs for Wii gamers to enjoy.

Gamers will also be able to buy standalone instruments to build their band one instrument at a time or want to play the drum versus drum game mode.

The game will be available in the US on 22 June priced around $169.99. We are awaiting a UK price and release date.

Rock Band has yet to be launched in the UK. It is due on Xbox 360, PS3 and PS2 on 9 May.
