Microsoft and Bungie have announced that the next wave of "Halo 3" downloadable content will come on the 15 April for gamers eager to play more multi-player maps.

Available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 800 Microsoft Points, around £7.50, the new map pack known as the Legendary Map Pack, will introduce three new maps to the title's multi-player experience, Ghost Town, Avalanche, and one map yet to be revealed.

The two already announced maps promise to offer vastly different gameplay and allow gamers to get into the action.

Ghost Town is a battle-scarred maze of narrow passages, while the second map, Avalanche, is a tribute to Sidewinder, a "Halo: Combat Evolved" fan-favourite, and will feature plenty of vehicles.
