Bowers and Wilkins Zeppelin lands in UK

Flamin' hot iPod speaker

This may look familiar, as we brought you news of it when it first floated into view in cyberspace, but Bowers & Wilkins has launched its unusual "Zeppelin" iPod speaker in the UK.

With technology borrowed from Bowers & Wilkins' award winning high-end speaker range, the British company state there's 40 years of technology and know-how crammed into their first iPod-friendly offering.

As well as sound quality, the Zeppelin offers direct iPod control while the device is docked, and a spring-loaded mounting system that plays nice without separate adaptors.

Video is also catered for, as Zeppelin supports the streaming of images to any screen from an appropriately equipped iPod.

The B&W Zeppelin costs £399 and is available now throughout the UK.
