Although we've had tablets that transform into laptops for a while now, it seems that the category has really taken off in the last couple of weeks, with Microsoft's own Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book leading the charge.
Now Toshiba has shown its hand in the form of a 12-inch Windows 10 tablet that is coming to the UK early next year.
The Toshiba dynaPad is just 6.9mm thin when not attached to an included full-size keyboard and is 569g, which the company claims is the lightest amongst its peers.
Its screen resolution is WUXGA+, so a little larger than Full HD (1920 x 1280), and it comes with an anti-reflection coating so is designed to be clear in ambient lighting conditions.
There is a stylus included as well as the keyboard which is made by Wacom, and a whole stack of proprietary Toshiba applications, such as TruNote, work with the digital pen.
The keyboard and dynaPad are both encased in satin gold-coloured carbon and come together in a clamshell design for mobile PC use. The keyboard also acts as a cover when magnetically clipped together.
The Wacom stylus clips onto the side of the tablet.
We'll find out more about Toshiba's dynaPad closer to launch, including its price.
