There are bundles of tablets available on the market, but not many come with a full controller dock like the Linx Vision. With Windows 10 on board it's possible to stream Xbox One games direct from your console to tablet and, thanks to an Xbox-approved controller dock included in the box, play them just like the real thing too.

Now how about all that for £149? Linx has really hit the attractive price point with the Vision, which we saw ahead of its official unveil at a CU Exposed preview behind closed doors.

The Vision slides in and out of its controller dock with relative ease, yet holds in place sturdily. For the money it feels solid, with the controller dock's buttons well placed to translate for Xbox One gamers - no surprise it's been approved by Microsoft then. However, we've not had the opportunity to test out streaming games as the device was not set-up for this at preview.

Beyond Xbox it's also possible to download PC games via Windows Store and Steam, then play them direct on the tablet itself using either touchscreen or controller dock, as applicable. The 6,000mAh battery on board delivers decent capacity and easy recharging via micro-USB.

However, don't expect super-power for your money. There's plenty on offer, but the 1280 x 800 pixel LCD screen, while decent in terms of angles-of-view, isn't the most resolute out there. The Cherry Trail Atom Processor and 2GB DDR3 RAM aren't going to match with high-end gaming machines either, but it should be enough to stream at the given resolution.

Of course other Windows 10 tablets can also stream Xbox One games and download from the Microsoft market, but they don't come with the gamer-targeted controller included in the box.

Elsewhere there are front and rear cameras, 32GB internal storage (expandable via microSD card) and all the usual Windows 10 mod cons, such as Cortana voice-control and Continuum to hand-over between desktop, laptop or other system.

The Linx Vision will be available from October. With that £149 price point it sounds like a potential Christmas wonder, especially if the main TV is all too often hogged by Xbox One play.
