The new Microsoft Band 2, expected soon, has leaked in render form showing off what we may see appear soon. And it's improving in all the right areas.

The problem with the first Microsoft Band, for many, was comfort. The large flat screen and hard battery-filled strap did not make for a comfortable wrist-piece. But it had such great potential, crammed full of sensors making it future-proof. The new iteration may get it just right.

According to the renders shared by MicrosoftInsider.es the new Band 2 will feature a curved display. This should help to offer a more comfortable experience. This, coupled with the battery bring moved out of the strap, should mean more flexibility too so wearing it shouldn't be a chore.

Also expected on the Band 2, codenamed Envoy, is an ability to measure the "height of an exercise". This sounds like it may be able to measure things like ski jumps or airtime in basketball. Other expected sensors include optical heart rate, accelerometer and gyro, GPS, ambient light, galvanic skin response, UV and a microphone.

Microsoft is expected to unveil the Band 2 at an event on 6 October. The Band 2 should be available in all countries where the Surface can be bought.
