It's looking more and more likely that Huawei won't be the sole manufacturer of the next Nexus smartphone. Now more has leaked on an LG variant that may be a slightly more affordable, smaller model. This may be the Nexus 5 (2015) handset.

The LG Nexus was tweeted about by serial leakster @OnLeaks. Details revealed that this handset will be different to the leaked Huawei model.

The LG Nexus should be a 5.2-inch smartphone. Resolution was not mentioned but we'd expect a 2K screen, or at the very least 1080p. The build is expected to feature a metal frame with a size of 146.9 x 72.9 x 8-9.8mm. The metal frame, rather than entire metal build, suggests this may be a more affordable variant over the larger Huawei model.

The speakers should be front facing, much like an HTC handset. The camera, although not confirmed for resolution, should protrude from the rear.

There is also rumoured to be a fingerprint sensor on the back, something that will lend itself well to Google's move for more contactless payment offerings. There is also apparently USB-C as the charging and data sharing port, for high-speed transfers.

The other rumoured Google Nexus is supposed to be Huawei made. This should feature a full metal body, rather than just the frame, and a 5.7-inch display.
