Misfit has a new wearable along with a new app. Plus, it's reduced the price of two existing fitness trackers.

Starting with the new wearable, Misfit unveiled a budget activity tracker called Flash Link. It costs just $19.99, comes in several colours and with a companion clip, and is described as a "multifunctional and modular wearable" as well as a "smart button". You'll be able to use it with the new Misfit Link app to "connect with the world" around you.

The Misfit Link app, which is out now, can also be used to control the Misift Flash. It's a fitness and sleep monitor and considered an affordable alternative to the flagship Misift Shine tracker, even though it has similar capabilities to the Shine, such as the ability to monitor steps, sleep, cycling, swimming, calories burned, and more.

Misfit said the new Link app can specifically used with the Flash to "connect with the world" around you, which in this instance includes taking a selfie with your phone camera or Snapchat. You could even use them to control your music from Spotify, Pandora, and other streaming services or - should you ever need to - toggle presentation slides.

Misifit said additional functionality is coming soon, including IFTTT and Logitech Harmony integrations. You can download the iOS version of the app now, while the Android version will be released next month.

As for those price reductions, the Shine and the Flash are now available for $69.99 and $29.99, respectively. They used to cost $99.99 and $49.99.
