Polaroid, realising that you might not want to give your 5-year-old your latest digital camera, has created one specifically for kids.Called the Polaroid Pixie, the new model will come in pink or blue, feature a 3-megapixel sensor, a 2.4-inch screen and run on two AA batteries.
Images are saved either to the camera's 16MB of on-board memory or an SD card, hidden under a screw-tight panel.
The big and easy to use camera, strangely, has two optical viewfinders so your little one doesn't have to work out how to close one eye - and if that wasn't enough five basic games to keep them entertained when there is nothing to snap.
The Polaroid Pixie will be available from May for £59.99.
The company has also announced a camcorder version for kids as well. It will cost £69.99 and come with a 1.5-inch screen, 2x digital zoom and the same 16MB of internal memory. Cameras, Compact cameras, 3 megapixels, Polaroid, Dad, Digital cameras
