We've long been fans of Asus' T100 Transformer Book 2-in-1 series. The company's latest endavour, the T100HA, opts for USB Type-C for a slimmer and altogether more portable 10.1-inch tablet-meets-laptop device.
Like the Apple MacBook and its use of USB Type-C, the Transformer Book benefits from a super-slim scale. The T100HA's tablet component - which can be detached from the included keyboard dock - measures just 8.45mm and weighs 580g.
Under the hood is a quad-core Intel Atom Cherry Trail X5 processor paired with 4GB RAM. Battery life thanks to the processor choice is a claimed 14-hours per charge. At present it's unclear whether the keyboard dock contains a separate battery component for such longevity to be realised.
At the Computex show in Taipei the headline news is that Windows 10 will launch 29 July this year. The Transformer Book T100HA will come with the latest operating system pre-installed when it goes on sale in the third quarter of the year.
As if Windows 10 wasn't colourful enough, in addition to the white and grey colour options, the T100HA will also come available in blue and pink finishes too. However, there's no final word on pricing just yet.
