A few months ago Google said it wanted to turn its Google Cast platform into an audio streaming standard, and now LG is throwing support behind that decision with its Music Flow speakers.

There are seven speakers in the Music Flow lineup, with prices ranging from $179 to $999, and they all feature built-in support for Google Cast, meaning you'll be able to stream audio from any app on your mobile device or computer (as long as it also has Cast support). LG's new speakers further support standard Bluetooth and Spotify Connect.

The LG Music Flow range includes the company’s first battery-powered Portable Wi-Fi Speaker (Model H4 Portable), Wi-Fi Speakers (Model H7/H5/H3), and Wi-Fi Sound Bars (Model HS9/HS7/HS6). Google Cast will be available in all these speakers starting this month, though the H4 Portable speaker will add support in May.

Current owners of LG Music Flow speakers and sound bars will be able to upgrade their products over-the-air once the service is introduced.

Each speaker model can also be controlled using LG’s intuitive Music Flow app for mobile devices.
