Red just unveiled an 8K full-frame camera that probably costs more than your car.

Red is a company that makes professional-grade cameras for photography and cinematography, and it just introduced an 8K RAW model called Weapon Vista Vision. It features a 8,192 x 4,320, 35-megapixel sensor that can do widescreen 8K up to 75 fps. Footage can also be shot in RAW and ProRes formats at the same time.

In order to get started, you'll need to pay $49,500 for the 6K Weapon Woven carbon fiber camera, which also recently launched, and then select the $10,000 upgrade option to get the 8K Vista Vision (full frame) version, making the total price around $59,500. But that doesn't include accessories, lens, storage, etc.

Oh, and that upgrade price is only for a limited time (until 16 April), after which it'll go up to $20,000. If you're able to afford such a setup, lucky you. We'll just assume you're James Cameron or some other Hollywood director.
