Hewlett-Packard has quietly unveiled a new laptop meant for professionals who need a machine that can handle intense graphics.

We're not talking about gamers; we're talking about the people making games.

Called the Omen Pro, the laptop is like the original Omen gaming laptop in that it features a 15.6-inch 1080p touchscreen and an aluminium frame, but it sports a more powerful Core i7 processor and a Nvidia Quadro K1100M graphics card.

The Omen Pro is just 19.9mm thin, weighs 4.68 pounds, runs Windows 7 Professional, and comes with 16GB of memory. HP is also offering a choice between two storage options: HP's 256GB or 512GB Z Turbo PCIe solid-state drives.

Some of you might love that HP chose to side with the Windows 7 operating system over Windows 8, but we suspect many of you will still desire more memory than 16GB, especially if you're using this laptop as a workstation.

You can pick up the Omen Pro from HP's website, starting today. It costs $2,199.
