Sky has announced that an EPG update to its Sky+HD boxes will begin rolling out from today.

The updates will run across planner, movies, accessibility, parental controls and power.

The planner has been updated with a Scheduled tab for upcoming recordings alongside Smart Series Links which now also remember to keep recording across series of shows. Also added is a Delete All option for clearing out box sets you're done with all at once.

Sky Movies and the Sky Store have had an update that allows viewers to flick through films and watch entire theatrical trailers before deciding if they want to watch or not. This runs across hundreds of movies.

For parental control the Family setting will hide all adult channels and even pin-protects pre-watershed playback of on demand content with a 12 rating or above.

The Eco Mode has been extended by 50 per cent with the Sky+HD box turning off from 2:45am to 5:45am automatically.

Accessibility has been improved to allow for greater colour contrast and bolder lettering making viewing more clear for those that need or want it.

The Sky+HD EPG update has begun rolling out today and will automatically appear on your box when it arrives by the end of June this year.
