Ceramic "Phonofone" iPod speaker available to pre-order

"Sculptural audio console"

The Phonofone is an unusual speaker for your iPod not just for its old-fashioned looks, but because it uses no power.

Through passive amplification alone, this unique device instantly transforms any personal music player earbuds into a "sculptural audio console".

The Phonofone uses horn acoustics to boost the audio output of standard earphones to up to 55 decibels.

Constructed entirely from ceramic, the object is more of a curiosity piece than a home stereo replacement, but what a curio it is...

Available for pre-order now it'll set you back 350 euros, which is approximately £265.
