HTC officially lifted the lid on its latest flagship Android phone during Mobile World Congress, and the handset has now hit the shelves.

The HTC One M9 is a 5-inch device with a 1080p display, octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of storage on board which can be expanded through microSD, with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed and HTC's Sense 7 UI on top.

There will be four different colours available globally, although networks might just carry one or two of them individually. The SIM free price will be £579.99 and it is available through various networks on contract from today, 31 March, in the UK. Here's where you can get hold of the HTC One M9.

Carphone Warehouse is stocking the phone on "the widest choice of networks and tariffs in the UK".

There are a wide range of options available from Carphone Warehouse, including £38.49 a month on EE, with a free Dot View case and an upfront cost of £99.99.

EE has a 3 month exclusive on the single-tone gold version of the HTC One M9.

It is also ranging the dual-tone gold on silver and gunmetal grey versions of the device and price plans start at £36.99 a month with the handset costing £99.99 up-front.

The HTC One M9 is available for £19.99 up-front on price plans from £46.99 a month.

GiffGaff is also be offering the HTC One M9 on its "contract-free" network. It will be stocking the silver and grey colour options, with the phone costing £569 outright.

There are several pay monthly options, such as a 24-month payment plan of £36.91 monthly instalments for 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB off data with an upfront cost of £37. For £42.91 a month over 24 months and a £43 upfront cost, you can get the HTC One M9 with 1000 minutes, unlimited texts and 5GB of data.

HTC is offering to sell you the phone directly through its online store, with its price set at £579.99.

HTC is offering two colours through the UK store - the gunmetal grey and gold on silver. Both are available at HTC.com.

O2 is offering the phone on its O2 Refresh tariff, which means that when upgrading users need only pay the remaining amount for the handset rather than the monthly airtime price plan too.

If you've currently got a HTC One M8, you can swap it in, getting up to £171 back and therefore off the price of the HTC One M9.

Otherwise you can get an HTC One M9, silver and gold, with unlimited calls, unlimited texts, and 2GB of data for £43 a month on O2. You also get a free Fitbit Charge fitness tracker. Click here for all the details.

Tesco Mobile is offering the HTC One M9 from £36 a month with no upfront cost. This will give you free 4G, and you'll get double data if you sign-up before 21 May. For £36 you'll get 1000 minutes, 5000 text and 2GB of data.

Three has also thrown its hat into the ring and is stocking the HTC One M9. 

You can get the HTC One M9 from £39 a month, with 1GB data, unlimited calls and messages, with a £19 upfront cost.

The HTC One M9 is available with Vodafone, on both 3G and 4G plans. Prices start at £26.50 a month on a 3G tariff, with the phone costing an up-front fee of £169.

The 4G plans start at £38.50 a month, with 1GB of data and an up-front handset price of £19.
