Face-spook?

TechCrunch is hearing from "multiple sources" that Hollywood heavyweight Steven Spielberg is preparing to launch a social networking site.

Rather than the film-focus you might expect, it seems the new site will be aimed at users who have had, or who are interested in, sharing paranormal and extra-terrestrial experiences.

Spielberg, whose movies include Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Poltergeist, E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, Casper, and Men in Black, is said to have experienced paranormal encounters himself, both as a child and as an adult.

The new site is said to be in production now, being created by a team in LA, and will apparently be launched in the next few months.
