A videogame based on the award-winning hit television series Dexter is to be put into production. Marc Ecko Entertainment will work with Showtime Networks to bring The Dark Defender to a console screen near you soon.

As fans of the series will know, Dexter follows Dexter Morgan, a forensic blood spatter expert for the Miami Dade Police Department whose perfectly respectable persona hides a dark compulsion - he is actually a serial killer who hunts down people who have escaped justice.

"'Dexter' is the extremely rare TV show with enough layers of action and tension to translate perfectly into a compelling videogame", said Marc Fernandez, VP of Marc Ecko Entertainment.

"Our game designers, writers, and artists are going to give Dexter's morally complex world the kind of interactivity that gamers will love."

More details will be announced in upcoming months, we'll keep you informed...
