Having already recently announced a tie-in with Adobe for Creative Cloud integration in its Paper app, FiftyThree is continuing to release new products, albeit in the form of a new colour scheme for its Pencil iPad stylus.

The new version of Pencil is gold to match a gold iPad Air 2. It'll work with all iPads running the Paper app of course, but the gold exterior perfectly suits the rear plate design of Apple's latest slate.

FiftyThree's Pencil is an active Bluetooth stylus that pairs with the iPad and can be activated by simply pressing on the Pencil icon in the developer's Paper app. It also works with a selection of other creative applications, including Adobe's Line and Draw Illustrator apps.

It offers up to a month's worth of charge, with the nib and body being able to be removed to expose a USB charging connection.

The front nib works very much like the tip of a real pencil while the rear is an eraser, something we've not seen often in styluses before. The device also comes with a spare eraser end and tip in case the other wear down.

The Pencil is already available in walnut and graphite colours with the gold version available to pre-order from FiftyThree's website for shipping on 3 February, priced £49.99. It will be also be available from Amazon.co.uk and select Apple Stores.
