Gaming accessory maker Nyko is at CES 2015 in Las Vegas, where it has unveiled new devices for PlayStation 4. Although we didn't get a chance to fully test them, we still spotted the company's Data Bank and QWERTY keyboard accessory on the show floor.

The Data Bank is useful for when you want to upgrade your PlayStation 4's hard drive storage capacity. It's a drive caddy that sits flush on top of the PS4 and supports cheaper, higher storage 3.5-inch desktop drives. Currently you need to buy a 2.5-inch drive no deeper than 9.5mm if you want to upgrade the measly 500GB HDD that comes with the console.

We haven't tried yet, but there's even the potential for boosting the storage up to 4TB, with 3.5-inch drives on the market for around £100. That's the same or even cheaper than a 2TB 2.5-inch drive that's compatible. We have recently upgraded ours to 1TB, which we detailed here, but this could be a real game changer (literally).

It also draws power from the console's AC adaptor rather than USB. We really liked that it doesn't use AC, allowing you to use your USB ports for other pressing things.

We also really liked how the Data Bank looks like it's almost a part of the PS4. It's a handy device that doesn't stick out or take up too much room in your entertainment center. It's also easy to click the Data Bank securely into place and even comes with a handy screwdriver for assembly purposes. Nyko told Pocket-lint that the Data Bank would debut in the first half of 2015 for around £25.

Another gadget Nyko plans to release this year, though likely a few months before the Data Bank, is a QWERTY keyboard attachment called Type Pad. It snaps onto the bottom of the DualShock 4 controller and makes text input much easier, as it includes physical orange keys as well as shortcuts (like ".com"). It also allows you to chat with friends, navigate the PS4's web browser using a mini analogue nub, and more.

And finally, Nyko told Pocket-lint that the Type Pad can be charged simultaneously with the DualShock 4 controller via micro-USB. The device, which is compatible with Bluetooth keyboard-enabled apps, can also be switched on and off to conserve battery. There's no word yet on pricing.
