Those of you who just bought a Chromebook for Christmas might be upset about what HP just quietly launched: a 14-inch Chromebook with a 1080p touchscreen.

That's right. You can now get an HD touchscreen Chromebook from HP, and that's not even the best part. This new machine only costs $439.99. While the price is a bit expensive when compared to other Chromebooks, it's not a bad deal at all in the grand scheme of things.

Apart from the 1920x1080 backlit touchscreen display, specs include a Nvidia Tegra K1 processor inside, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, and 8 hours of battery life. The new Chromebook 14 weighs about 3.77 pounds and only comes with a white cover and black/silver accents.

No word yet if the Chromebook is available outside of the US, though we've contacted HP for more details.
