Semi-rugged - so able to work pretty much anywhere - is the claim being made for the new F5 tablet PC from Motion Computing.

It has a dust, water, shock and temperature resistant chassis containing a 1.2GHz Intel Centrino U1400 processor, 10.4-inch XGA (1024 x 768) "View Anywhere" display, 40GB HDD, built-in 802.11a/b/g and Bluetooth, WWAN (EV-DO) support and a 2-megapixel camera.

An optional barcode reader can also be integrated, but the biometric scanner, three USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet and VGA output come as standard.

The PC's battery is claimed to be good to go for about one and a half hours. But it'll set you back $2699 to $4000 depending on configuration.
