Motorola's Droid line for Verizon isn't going anywhere just yet. It is about to get a update in fact, if recently-leaked photos are indeed legit.
The first few images of the Droid Turbo have landed online, ahead of its expected debut next month. Cloaked in what looks like a black Kevlar coating of some sort, the upcoming smartphone from Motorola looks part Moto X and part Droid Mini.
According to hellomotoHK, which published the leaked photos, the Droid Turbo features a 5.2-inch display (previous reports have claimed it's a 2,560x1,440-pixel quad-HD display). Although the device hasn't been announced yet, both Verizon and Motorola have indicated something is coming via the official Droid Twitter account.
Adding fuel to the flames, Adroid Authority reported that we can expect a 2.65GHz Snapdragon 805 processor, 20-megapixel rear camera, and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. There have even been rumours about 3GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, amazing battery life, and support for quick charging.
The Droid Turbo therefore might be an impressive exclusive for US carrier Verizon. But it's not exactly going to win design awards, by the looks of these leaks anyway.
