T-Mobile gets BlackBerry Pearl 8110

Comes in Blue Slate rather than just black

T-Mobile UK and Research In Motion (RIM) has announced the launch of the new BlackBerry Pearl 8110 smartphone in a Blue Slate colour along with a new price plan to entice consumers to the messaging phone.

The new consumer-focused model, which is identical to the model launched on Vodafone last month, will feature a 2 megapixel camera, in-built GPS and quad-band connectivity.

In an attempt to sway people from signing up to Vodafone, T-Mobile is offering two price plans for email and internet access. Customers happy to sign an 18- or 24-month contract will get the choice of having just email for £5 or email and unlimited internet access for £10.

The BlackBerry Pearl 8110 is available now, and can be bought with new price plans from the operator.
