This week, the unthinkable has happened for millions of people. No, not another series of Britain’s Got Talent. Worse than that.

Five million Gmail addresses were published, along with their account passwords. Some shady Russian hackers’ blog decided to publish them in a text file, and only removed some of the info after the internet reacted as it often can - with righteous anger.

As you probably know, it’s a good idea to change your password regularly anyway, but if you want to see if your Gmail account was one of the ones leaked, visit as soon as possible and it’ll tell you if you were on the list.

Google claim that the integrity of their systems has not been breached. We certainly hope so. But we’ve heard protestations like that before, and not that long ago either.

No, if you’re at all worried, check here, but maybe just change your password anyway.
