During its IFA 2014 press conference, Philips – through Woox Innovations – announced a gadget that can pair with up to three devices and stream music to a conventional hi-fi or amplifier.
The Philips Bluetooth adapter with MultiPair has NFC connectivity and Blutooth AptX support for high-fidelity audio streaming. It also has both analogue RCA audio outputs, 3.5mm socket and coaxial and optical digital outputs to hook it up to pretty much any stereo device, converting it into a modern wireless streaming system.
“MultiPair is an innovation that addresses feedback we received from our customers and adds real value to an already popular product range,” said Jeroen Steenblik, app-enabled products business leader at Woox Innovations.
“With this advance in technology we’re showing that we not only listen to our customers, but are also committed to provide a great experience. We’ve also added NFC and AptX support and digital connectivity features to make this our best Bluetooth adapter yet. Now is the right time to upgrade your existing sound system with Bluetooth connectivity.”
The Philips Bluetooth adapter with MultiPair is available for 49.99 euros. A UK price is yet to be revealed.
