Vertu, known for high-end luxury smartphones, is branching out into audio with its first headphones and wireless speaker. The range was created in collaboration with Bang & Olufsen.

The V Headphones, or HP-1V, were tuned and tested with Bang & Olufsen. They were built from an angled, ported construction from a single bilet of lightweight aircraft-grade aluminium. They use a closed-back system which, Vertu claims, offers passive noise-cancellation.

The ear cushions are made from high-quality memory foam in hand-stitched lamb leather. They mould to the user's ears for maximum comfort and low clamp force.

The Vertu V Headphones are available now from £490.

The V Speaker, or SP-1V, doubles as a hands-free speaker thanks to the built-in microphone.  It connects to Bluetooth devices with one-tap connections for those featuring NFC - like Vertu's smartphones.

The speakers are Kevlar based while the unit itself is made from a single bilet of aircraft-grade aluminium. The face is diamond cut and features a brushed finish on the face of the speaker with debossed calf leather buttons.

The Vertu V Speaker is available now from £400.
