Is that a Huawei Ascend Mate 7 in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?
Chinese website Weibo is known to be a good source of leaked handsets, most likely because many of them are manufactured in the country. Huawei, of course, is a Chinese company, so it's even more susceptible to leaks onto that forum and the latest comes a week before the start of the IFA consumer electronics trade show in Berlin, possibly blowing the major surprise unveiling the company was planning.
We say major surprise because the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 is a mammoth phone/phablet. If the pics and leaked information is anything to go by, it will have a 6-inch screen - try putting that in the front pocket of your skinny jeans.
Yes, the manufacturer has already unleashed a 6.1-inch monster in the past - the Ascend Mate 2 - but this time around the screen resolution is rumoured to be Full HD (1920 x 1080), so has a significant bump in sharpness and detail.
Other rumoured specifications include an octa-core Kirin 920 processor and 13-megapixel camera on the rear. Plus, many are speculating that a fingerprint at the end of a video teaser posted officially by Huawei suggests that it will include a fingerprint scanner too.
