LG G3 Stylus, here to take on the Galaxy Note 4

LG has just teased a new G3 Stylus phone which appears to be a larger stylus-toting version of its flagship G3 handset.

The G3 Stylus appeared in an oddly desperate and choppily editing promotional video for the G3 Beat. Nothing was mentioned until the end where the above image was shown with the stylus propped against a clearly larger G3.

Samsung is expected to unveil its Galaxy Note 4 tablet with stylus at its Unpacked event from the IFA tradeshow on 3 September. LG has seen huge increases in mobile sales since the G2 and now even more with the G3. It makes sense for it to maintain momentum and go after the phablet market too.

Few other details are known about the G3 Stylus. Rumours suggest it will be a 5.9-inch device, presumably with the super-high resolution 1440 x 2560 screen that the G3 has, at least.

If the other specs are also the same as the G3 we can expect a Snapdragon 801 processor and Krait 400 graphics plus 3GB of RAM. There should be a 13-megapixel rear camera and 2.1-megapixel front-facing snapper.

Hopefully the G3 Stylus will come with the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS as well as Gorilla Glass 3 and at least cat 4 LTE speeds.

Expect to hear more from LG on the handset soon as this leak was from an official video, suggesting the company is preparing the hype up its announced release.
