DAB goes portable

As the digital radio moves from the kitchen into the pocket, Nevada a digital radio manufacture has launched a portable pocketable model for under £80.

The ND-01 will measure 60(w) x 96(H) x 22(D)mm and weigh 160 grams. It will have 12 memories presets (6 for DAB and 6 for FM) and features a 128 x 64 pixel backlit graphic LCD so you can see what is going on.

The radio will run for up to eight hours from its two high power Ni-MH rechargeable batteries, while those caught with a dead battery and without a charger can also use normal AA batteries to power the device.
