Toshiba has launched a new range of digital photo frames at its UK spring press event.
The range - under the Tekbright banner - currently comprising of just one 7-inch model but more are planned before the end of the year.
The 7-inch model offers a resolution of 800 x 420 and can display just JPEG and BMP files and costs around £90.
Running off mains power, the display device can play MP3 files with its little 0.5 watt speaker.
The user interface - via eight blue backlit touchscreen buttons - is nice and Chocolate-esque.
Supporting CompactFlash via one slot and SD, MMC, MS, MS Pro and xD via another, the frame itself has a 64MB memory and USB 2.0 hook up.
The 7-inch model will be joined in May by an 8-inch frame that will support video playback, a tilt sensor and offer changeable bezels, with two likely bundled in the box.
Towards the end of the year, Toshiba plans to introduce a 10-inch model too - this will be Wi-Fi-enabled, with its own IP address and will possibly boast Bluetooth connectivity.
Pricing for this top end offering will be between £120 and £150.
