Toshiba creates carbon fibre televisions
Cool composite

21 February 2008 14:33 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott
Displayed as a concept design at the Toshiba spring press event, this is Toshiba's carbon fibre offering.
Created in small numbers as per a dealer request for the Turkish market, the telly is a normal Toshiba panel but with a distinctive carbon fibre surround.
The unusual finish adds a thousand dollar premium to the price point, but there are no plans to mass produce the television for the UK, or any other, market.
