Silent Power is the 'world's smallest high-end PC' and it's noiseless
Soon the days of noise fan cooled PCs or liquid cooled machines will be gone thanks to Silent Power. The device is apparently able to keep a PC cool without making any noise at all.
Being billed as the "smallest high-end PC in the world" Silent Power is also the quietest. The cooling system works by placing a copper foam on top of the computer. All the hottest elements of the machine are also placed near to the top. This sucks up the heat and dissipates it without the need for any power consuming or noise making extras.
Silent Power measures in at 15 x 13 x 7 centimetres and claims to always keep the computer below 50 degrees centigrade.
The cheapest version of the German made machine will go for €699, around £555, once it completes its crowd-funding stage. This base model with come with an Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of DDR3-RAM, 2048MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX760 Grafik-GPU and a 500GB SSD running Windows 8.1. Production is expected to start in the spring of 2015.
