Magix has updated its video editing tool aimed at PC owners.

Movie Edit Pro 14 is claimed to offer easier editing and burning and a new improved user interface.

It is available in two versions: Classic and Plus, for beginners and more experienced users respectively.

The software offers video capture options, editing tools, 3D effects, a large selection of titles and fades and soundtracks.

The results of users' endeavours can then be burned to an interactive CD/DVD or exported to the Web or mobile player.

The interface has been improved so that now functions like optimise, decorate, camera travel, rotate and fade, have been moved to the Media Pool.

Users can also now embed videos into any HTML website as Flash videos.

There are two options available to the user for burning their video projects. In the new EasyBurn mode a classic DVD video can be burned quickly, and in a more advanced "Burn Mode", online presentations and slideshows can be created.

Magix also says that the software is now faster when used with PCs with Dual Core processors/GPU support.

Magix Movie Edit Pro 14 Plus adds the new Audio Mastering Suite 2.0 for audio editing, Ambient Synth 2.0 for thematic video soundsets and is compatible with the proDAD Vitascene effects collection.

In addition, Magix Movie Edit Pro 14 Plus is claimed to be the only video editing software to include Reallusion iClone 2SE, the animation program which allows you to create animated movies with your own characters and settings.

Movie Edit Pro 14 Pro will be available from 10 March for £39.99 for the Classic version and £59.99 for the Plus version.
